Information for   Summary Lund University, with its 7 faculties and a number of research centres and specialized institutes, is the largest unit for research and higher education in Sweden. Lund University was founded in 1666, partly in order to tie more closely to Sweden the provinces which had been ceded by Denmark in 1658.
