The MAS bar -decidely Latino-american or Spanish- has a lot to offer: fair prices, friendly waitresses, etc. the place is nearly always packed, which just goes to show how the locals rate it. IS half-way down the Laudongasse, just by the Skodagasse. There is no sign, but you'll recognize it by the large windows and the people inside.

The Titanic is another of Viennas cult clubs. It holds a restaurant ("Panamerican food" they claim, whatever that means), several bars, and two dance floors. Music varies, but every day at least one floor is dedicated to Salsa, HipHop, or some part of the 80ies. The door men won't let you in if you come in big groups, are noisy, or if they don't like you're nose.

Very hip place. Breathing-impossible-packed on Fridays and Saturdays. Excellent cocktails (try the Mojito or Caipirinha). Music is exclusively Salsa, Merengue, and other stuff down those lines. Loads people there actually are from Central and South America.

U4 (Schönbrunnerstr. 222, 1120, subway U4 Meidlinger Hauptstr.); open 22 to 5; cult status ever since the early 80es. Party sounds on crowded Tuesdays, Thursdays gay crowd, Fridays 80es sounds, Saturdays Boogie Nights with disco sound and porn movies, and Sundays with flower power hippie tunes. Cover charge depends on day. Prices for drinks are ok.
