if you are the historian type of person then you should check out the fantastic xanantunich one of the biggest and i think oldest mayan ruins in belize these are fantastic and even if you do not like history then you will still be amazed at what was once a thriving city

Cons: not much else around there

The Colton House: "Your home away from home..."

It's actually one of the pricier places to rest your head at night in Belize City, but is still quite a bargain for what you get. Plus, how can you refuse their welcoming motto - 'Our home is your home.'
The Colton House is an inn located in the historical Fort George area of the city, a three minute walk from the water. The house is an old colonial, surrounded by a wrap-around porch with plenty of places to perch. The rooms come in varying sizes, but are open, clean, and have separate entrances. You can get cozy with Alan and Ondina, the owners, at night in the living room - where there is a virtual library of Belize info - from videos to books to magazines. If you have to stop in Belize City for a night or two, this is a good deal for a comfortable night's sleep.
Pros: clean, comfortable, safe area
Cons: not the cheapest, but still a good deal

They have maybe 2 roads, one that reach the east to the ouest and the other the North to the South. The transportation is very cheap and easy to take. Be patient, you'll get there

Just under Mexico and Catalunya a little country called Belize. Go to Belize City, take a boat, after 30 minutes you reach a georgous island where you feel like paradise. You have the best barrier of Corals in the world. Hurry up, corals are dying...
Pros: Cheap, georgous, rare
Cons: Belize City is dangerous
