In Rio I stayed at Maria's (www.takeoff.to/rio). Nearby, next to the shopping center Rio Sul, there is the music hall Canecao where famous Brasilan Singers do their shows. We used to go there at 10.30 pm just when the show was about to start and there were usually a few men there in front of the place who wanted to sell some tickets. Keeping cool we could get two tickets of the best seats for 20 instead of 100 Real.
