If your in Popayan and your low on cash try the Hotel Capital. Its recently been renovated but it is still very basic accommodation. It is cheap, safe and friendly. The building is colonial with a cool internal courtyard.

I love this place!!The hotel is set in a beautiful old colonial building right next to the main plaza. Lots of the rooms have balconies and the whole place is decorated beautifully with period pieces. The management are friendly and professional. Roo...more
