Luxurious self-contained apartment to rent: "Best place to stay in Trinidad"

written: 10 May 2001
Yobel Felipe Perez, 260A Colon, Entre Jose Marti y Francisco Cadahia. Tel Trinidad (53 419) 3280 between 5pm-10pm. A beautiful, new, self-contained apartment with large roof terrace to rent in central Trinidad (just off Parque Central) with two bedrooms, own bathroom, kitchen, and lounge. The accomodation is flexible and can be rented either complete, or as individual rooms. Excellent food, along with fans/AC. Beautiful views from the roof. The host speaks excellent English, offers guided tours of the town and area and will happily help you with everything. Almost everyone extends their stay and it is highly recommended. The price is around $20 per room, or $35 for the apartment depending on the season and length of stay, plus meals at the usual prices. (05/2001).

Pros: Genuine, comfortable, well located, friendly
Cons: None
Rating: 4/4

Trinidad's Disco Cave!: "Dance in a Cave!"

written: 05 January 2001
Do you like to "get down" in funky locations? Well Trinidad has the place for you! I dont remember the name of the Disco Cave but if you ask around in town everyone will know. You must climb up a hill and then you pay ($7US all you can drink!) and walk down into the bowels of Trinidad! The cave is extensive, with the dance floor in one corner and lots of chairs and tables around the main cave...and of course the bar. Due to the natural acoustics of the cave the music sounds great. You will meet many different cubans, including drag queens! The only advice i have is watch your head as some rocks are hanging low.

Pros: Great atmosphere!
Cons: you might hit your head on rocks
Rating: 4/4
Details: On the hill on the edge of Trinidad. (Just ask the locals) its about 15-20 min walk from the center on town,
