I visited in January 2003, the Arctic Rally was taking place so the town was buzzing, an added bonus. The shops and market are good for local craft goods, leather and clothing..right up my street. The nightlife here is very diferent to english but was great, my only regret is letting a finnish Rally tour guide go without taking his number!! Husky driving, Reindeer Driving,a visit to a Shaman, and visit to the nearby Ranua Zoo, there is so much adventure to be had! Finnish food does not really cater for vegetarians, but you cannot have everything. I love Rovaniemi!!
