"Les Salons de thé": "Where to spend nice afternoons in Toulouse?"
written:
13 July 2002
Tea- and Cake-oholics, this is the place for you. It's not specific of Toulouse, but only there the atmosphere is so odd.
Bap's near the lycée Pierre de Fermat.
L'Autre Salon near Esquirol(there's like a big show there!)
Pros: Excellent cakes, great atmosphere.
Cons: none
Rating: just a tip

"Au Petit Bonheur"
written:
20 March 2001
Do you want to try French cuisine? So let's go to Au Petit Bonheur in the heart of this city. A black board to present the menu on your table, walls built with stone of the region, the smile of the owner (Fabien), etc: all those details will please you a lot.<BR>
It's a small restaurant (I think no more than 40 seats), so please be a little bit before the hours of lunch in France or make a reservation.
Pros: Cheap and excellent food

Les pétales bleus: "Amazing Sri Lankese food in St Cyprien"
written:
27 November 2000
Hi there... i wanted to share my BEST restaurant tip in Toulouse : it's a
Sri-lankese restaurant called "Les pétales Bleus" in rue de la République(quartier St Cyprien), close to the Hotel -Dieu St-Jacques. It's VERY cheap (depending on your appetite, you can eat from 45 to 100 FRF), and
it's ... incredible. Try the "sabre indien - chawarma", the amazing "poulet tandoori" and the avocado. The couple (he cooks, she welcomes you and serves the dishes) is really kind and welcoming, they don't speak French very well, but their smile tells it all !
Pros: Delicious, cheap, exotic
Cons: The way it's decorated is... too exotic!
Rating: 4/4

L'autre salon de thé: "Incredible desserts near Esquirol"
written:
27 November 2000
I would recommend "l'Autre salon de thé" very close to Esquirol . Their deserts are merely gorgeous, but
they keep you waiting for quite a long time, and it's not really cheap. Also, i would say they have the typical rude French waiters (and please remember i'm French, so i know what i'm talking about). In spite of all this, i think it's worth a try, especially if you're a great fan of deserts (but who isn't ?)
Pros: Desserts... Nice old furniture, cosy atmosphere
Cons: Not very cheap... Slow waiters who don't smile.
