My family and I have holiday'd in Rhodes twice now and have loved every minute of it. The people are lovely very friendly. The villages are lovely - faliraki is like blackpool sea front during the day and like Broad Street at night - but its good for a mad clubbing nite out. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place - I found staying at the top by Rhodes town was best/Ixia. The places around Lindos end at the bottom are a bit sparse. ++++++

I went to Rodos on a package trip with my mom. Rodos is a very popular place among Scandinavian middle-aged people who do not feel comfortable in speaking English. Most of them actually just want to have the warm climate and nice beaches and combine them with their national food, music, and fellow citizens. The island is very beautiful and I found it utterly boring. So if you're not a sunbathing person, avoid the place.
