way of life in Comayagua: "Old "Sleepy" Town" by katracha

Underneath the buzz and bustle of the ever-growing Comayagua are roots embedded so deeply on its soil that no matter where one of its native is the are always
with them. For example, the love of soccer is in every citizen of Honduras. When I was a child I dreaded Sundays because every Sunday the television is dominated by whatever teams are playing. This still is a tradition, sacred in the whole nation so expect deserted streets and deadly quiet towns. Either people are indoors watching the games or out of town enjoying a relaxing day. On Sunday every single store closes by 12:00 a.m. I recommend that on Sundays take advantage of the surounding area to go sightseeing or visit Lago Yohoa where people love to go on the weekends to go eat the delicious seafood or enjoy the beautiful scenery and the refreshing breeze coming from the lake. However, watch out for the roads because they are hazardous since it encircles the mountains.
Pros: The Lake of Yohoa is a must see
Cons: The roads are some times dangerous and scary
