neighborhoods: "More Than Just Neighbors"

The neighborhoods of Comayagua are made up of colonial-styled houses stacked next to each other. They are quite pretty and quaint, a refreshing sight from the concrete skyscrapers and apartment buildings. Many of the houses are more than a hundred years old and some are falling apart from neglect and age. The most taken care of are near or around the center of the town. In all the neighborhoods live wonderful people who grew up around each and so know each other like family members. Everybody knows each other and if the town is small enough like Comayagua, everybody knows everyone that lives in town. Everybody is a contribution to the community, keeping the wonderful traditions alive that are unique to Comayagua. Don't be afraid to approach the natives (however watch out for thives) for help or information, anyone would be more than willing to help you out. Have fun and soak in the atmosphere.
Pros: Wonderful, friendly people
Cons: Very dull on Sunday
Details: Comayagua/ 45 minutes north of Tegucigalpa
