Worth a Long Weekend: "Lovely Lucca" by haneen

It seems the entire town spends the weekend mornings and evenings walking the top of the 2 and 1/2 mile wall that surrounds the city. Rent a bike and ride under the trees with them. There's also Puccini's family apartment, and a few small squares that will seem serene and majestic after fighting the crowds in Florence.
Pros: A true Italian village w/out the Florence crowds
