A good idea when arriving in Venice with no accomodation booked, is to call into the train station on venice Island. there is a booth there that u tell them youer requirements and they phone around. We were in a 1 star (but perfectly wonderful) hotel...more

ok, if you're really on a tight budget (like i was), don't mind sharing a room with 50 others, having a curfew and lights out at 11.30pm, and aren't adverse to staying in a catholic sister's convent - then try this place. it's located on Giudecca rig...more

This hotel is located in Lido, about 15 minutes from Piazza San Marco (by boat). It's a cheap and comfortable hotel.
