Hotel Cristallo: "So Far Away"

A quaint little hotel way out in the middle of nowhere. If you have access to a car, or don't care about the 11-13 Euro cab fare ONE WAY between the sites of Verona and this hotel, or that the restaurant is closed on Saturday, or that you have to pay to park your car here, or that the bus, which only costs 1 Euro each way, stops running at 8:00 p.m., then go ahead and stay here...although the price isn't so much lower that it justifies the cost of transportation between here and Verona. (Their hotel summary says they are within a couple of miles of Verona. Strictly speaking, true. But that is the city limits. It's more like 4 miles to Verona sites, and the walk is through industrial suburbs for half of it.) To be honest, I wish I had spent the little extra money and stayed close to historic Verona. However, one good thing: The best pizza I had in three weeks in Italy was located about a mile from this hotel.
