I've been in Kyoto in middle April and it was enchanting. But if you want to see full cherry blooming go in the early April. Kyomizu Shrine is one of the most beautiful attractions.An ancient atmosphere is also in Sannenzaka and Gion. If you travel there in April don't miss Miyako Odori (Cherry Blossom Geisha's dances). They're really beautiful, you'll never forget them! Kyoto is the city I loved mostly after touring Japan for 2 weeks!
