Well, it has been a while since I have writen a review so I thought I would start off again with on about home, kenya, and more specifically, the city of Mombasa. For those that fly into Nairobi and want to get away from the crowds and pollution this is the place. Right on the Indian Ocean, Mombasa is hot all year round and very humid! I reccomended strongly taking a trip to see Old Town. It was one of the first settlements and remains in its orginal Arab design. It is a romantic place to take a walk or guided tour. Also, right next to it is the oldest fort in Africa, Fort Jesus, so named because of its human shape. It has a great deal of history and is a wonderful place to visit. The food in Mombasa centers around seafood since they are located on an ocean. For those that travel in style and expect luxury, the White Sands hotle is the place for you. I have stayed there just for the fun of it and it is a paradise. Any of you fimilar with the hotels in nairobi may know of Safari Park, well white sands is much nicer. For the lower end traveller, like myself normally, i reccomend the Indiana, where you can have a room with a Kitchen for a good price. No matter you do in Mombasa you will defintely have fun. Oh yhea, and it is much sfaer than my hometwon of Nairobi.
