"Dolls" Club: "Nightlife In Kuwait Is Already A Fact"
written:
09 January 2006
A new club called "Dolls" - the first and only of its kind - is opening in Kuwait City in about a month. The lack of alcoholic drinks in the country will not affect by any means the visitors' entertainment since the stuff is specially selected to meet the extreme need for nightlife in the city of Kuwait. The "Dolls"'s interior and the colors are realized in provocative-futuristic style almost geometrical lines and glitters of red, grey and metal. In this surrounding atmosphere the names of the drinks sound even more exotic even more when served by the ladies-stuff dressed in different style every evening.
Pros: "Dolls" Club
Cons: "Dolls" Club
Rating: 4/4

Zillion restaurants to choose from: "If you love to taste.."

One of the strongest features of Kuwait is the variety of restaurants you find. While Global franchises are almost in every corner, you can still enjoy ethnic restaurants that serve Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Arabic of all types, Thai, Italian, Iranian, and even Moroccan cuisines.
You better work out regularly. Otherwise, your spouse won't enjoy those love handles.
My recommendations:
Indian (Mughal Mahal)
Japanese (Kei + Sakura)
Arabic (Palm Palace)
Italian (Nino)
Iranian (Shabestan)
Steak House (Terrace Grill)
International (GUSTO!)
Pros: Hygiene and quality food is guaranteed
Cons: Some of these restaurants can be expensive
Rating: 3/4

Kuwait might not be as hip as London or NY, but nobody said it should. Each city in the world has its own characteristics; some cities are similar and some aren't. It all comes down to your ability to adapt. If you are full of life and know how to have (and make) a good time, you will enjoy it wherever you are. Besides, when a country welcomes you in and your personal income is generated from its own economy, the least you can do is be graceful about your own dislikes of the place.
Agent9, if Kuwait drives you that crazy, then leave. But don't live there and attack the country; that's low. Any place in the world becomes a breeze when the people who live in it are loyal and real.
And remember, Agent9, one sees others through his own soul! Think about it.
Pros: Variety of food is never a problem
Cons: Not enough parks. No Jazz clubs
Rating: 2/4

nightlife in kuwait...or should I say, nightdeath: "Abandon hope all ye who enter!"

You're kidding, right?
I have lived and travelled in dozens of countries in the world. This is by far the worst. The people are arrogant, unfriendly, ignorant hicks who think they are better than everyone else because they beat their Indian servants, shop at Harrod's once a year, and send their overweight brats to unknown American diploma mills.
Live music is illegal. Drink of any kind is illegal. Holding hands with the opposite sex is illegal. There are NO, repeat NO, clubs/gathering places/nightlife of any kind. Everyone you meet here immediately asks "what the hell are you doing here?...when do you get to leave?"
Bahrain, Dubai, Oman, Syria...anyplace is better. Get out while you can...and ask yourself, why did the world come to this place's rescue in 1990? I mean, their *own* army packed their Mercedes with dollar bills and fled!
Pros: Dishtowels are cheap
Cons: Everyone here is a con
Rating: 1/4
