Good Hotel: "Skagen Brygge"

I would highly recommend the Skagen Brygge (spelling?) hotel. It's no youth hostel price wise, but they had free Carlsberg beer on tap by the sauna!

Stavanger is a cute average sized city that you can reach by car from the south of Norway. It's got a very decent nightlife but it's also a homebase to the fjords.
