Warsaw the city: "Worth visiting!"
written:
02 November 2001
Before heading to Poland for about four days, many people told me to skip Warsaw entirely and head straight down to Krakow. I didn't in the end - I gave both 2 days of visiting. I'm glad I did because I liked Warsaw a lot more than I had expected to after everyone told me to take the first train out of there! It has a really interesting history and has it's beautiful neighborhoods. Certainly deserves a day or two of visiting while in Poland.
Pros: history, beauty
Cons: knowing where to go
Rating: 3/4

wow, this place has opened just recently, and i can tell it's already a hotspot in warsaw!! the caffe has a funky modern interior, good techno music (i.e. i'm not that into techno, but i still liked it!), and really friendly (and cute!) waiters. go check it out!
Pros: cool
Cons: cool
Rating: 4/4

CyberLand: "the fastest Internet connection in Poland"
written:
25 May 2001
yes, it's true! this Internet Club (not a cafe since they don't sell any beverages other than a coffee machine in a corner) has the fastest internet connection in Poland. great if you are into Quake or other simulated games - they have annual Quake leagues too. Plus it's much cheaper than other internet cafes, charging only 6 zl / hour, and even less if you become a member. the seats are comfortable and the facilities top-notch. check it out!
Pros: great internet connection, cheap
Cons: none
Rating: 4/4
Details: in "Land" shopping center, right off Sluzew metro stop

"Mala Czarna"
written:

Since my personal fave cafe (Szpilka) has already been reviewed by someone else (and they liked it, so I've got no reason to write another review ;), I will bring to the attention of my fellow iAgorians another wonderful little cafe in Warsaw. "Mala Czarna" is located on Hoza St., right off Marszalkowska St. It's got a semi-American taste to it - for any of you that have been to the US, if you liked Starbucks Cafe, I guarantee you'll love "MC". But even though personally I'm not much of a Starbucks-fan, "Mala Czarna" is definitely high on my list. Good coffee, excellent smoothies in giant glasses (my fave - VeryBerry) - what more could u wish for? As for food - more of a snack place - just sandwiches and salads, so don't go there too hungry. C U all there!
Pros: Check out the photos on the walls;excellent stuff!
Cons: Sadly, be prepared for lack of a bathroom
Rating: 4/4

"Miedzy Nami"
written:

a cafe on Bracka street off Marszalkowska. Name means "Between Us" but also goes by the name "Miedzy Nogami", which means "Between Legs" ;) Pricy by Polish standards, but good salads, soups, coffees, esp. Cafe Au Lait served in big bowls. Works of up-and-coming artists hang on walls, with a new exhibit every month.
Pros: good atmosphere, food, drinks
Cons: people there tend to have attitude
Rating: 4/4

this is one of the only (if not the only) 24 hour cafe/bars in town. great music (Buena Vista Social Club seems to be a fave there), good coffes, and you can always meet someone you know there!
Pros: open 24 hours
Cons: why can't there be more places like this in Warsaw
Rating: 4/4
