New Town: "Warsaw - New Town"

New Town is a quieter, more reserved version of the city's Old Town. Also destroyed during World War II, it was recreated at the same time as the Old Town.
The New Town's centre piece is New Town Square which is lined by elabourately coloured tenements and the Italianate Sacramentine's Church, complete with white wash and copper dome.
There are a few good restaurants and shops, although nothing spectacular. In way of a diversion, the district boasts the Marie Curie museum and a wide variety of late baroque churches as well as two sloping streets, offering vantage points over the Vistula and the New Town.
Pros: Quiet, shady, unspoilt
Cons: None that I can think off!
Details: Just north of the Barbacan
