Luminita, you are wright. Hotel prices in Brasov can hardly be a reason for what they offer. As a French person I travelled in Romania and especially in Brasov and I also took advantage of hotel apartments. I like the freedom they offer and the possibility to have a quiet place to stay with my friends. Plus, in a hotel you don't have a kitchen and self catering facilities :)
Pros: kitchen, self catering facilities, quiet places
Cons: reservations have to be made in advance,
Details: I liked best an apartment near the Central Park
