Pastafiore: "Italian Style Fast Food"

written: 07 July 2000
So it's fast food, ok, but far from burgers and similar stuff... it actually tastes good (we're talking pizza, pasta and ensaladas here), plus it's affordable. Try Pizza Hawaiiana or the Lasagna! One restaurant is in Pl. Urquinaona (check out the wall decoration: yes, it's pasta!!!), but ther're several others in town.

Pros: Affordable, real good food; several restaurants
Cons: It keeps being fast food.
Rating: 4/4
Details: Plaza Urquinaona

Lucania: "Lucania o las pequeñas pizzas"

written: 07 July 2000

Rating: 3/4

Raval-Bar: "Raval-Bar"

written: 28 June 2000
Really cute bar/cafe. It´s very close to the Ramblas, but not touristic at all. So it´s nice to have something very close to the center, but sort of off the beaten path. There are changing photo exhibits I think. On the weekend it gets apparently very crowded, but I went on a tuesday and it really wasn´t so bad at all...

Pros: fairly large, funky music, NICE COUCHES
Cons: none
Rating: 3/4

La Dolça Herminia: "Alternative to Les Quinze Nits"

written: 26 June 2000
La Dolça Herminia is a branch of Les Quinze Nits, just as cheap, with food just as fabulous, but much less crowded (no reservations accepted, but I've never seen a queue there anyway). To find this restaurant, walk down Comtal off Portal del Angel, Magdalenas is at the very end on the right). Try Crema Catalana for dessert.

Pros: Excellent food, low prices
Cons: Hard to find(?)
Rating: 4/4
