If you are thinking about staying in Menorca and are not sure about where to go then have a look at Calan Porter - the first tourist resort in Menorca it is well established, large enough to provide you with entertainment and shops etc but still peaceful when you need be, it has areas very commercialised as well as typical spainish areas. A well prseserved beach, numerous restaurants(i recommend siesta mar)plenty of accomodation(renting a villa is often best)places of history and nightlife(the famous caves of xxori)and the locals are lovely. I have been going for the past 8yrs and still love just as much now as I did then. For anymore info(and i have loads) send me and inote.
