The Giralda (the cathedral) is one of the best-known monuments of Sevilla (together with the Torre del Oro) and Spain. It was an ancient mosque converted into a Christian church after the Reconquista.

The cathedral is an absolute must-see, but then again everyone who comes to Sevilla does anyway. Mounting the minaret will exhaust you (no stairs, but a ramp to make horseback ascent possible...), but reward you with a superb view of the city.
