Zaragoza Cathedral: "See Our Lady of the Pillar" by maan

The main attraction of Zaragoza seems to be its Cathedral where you will see Our Lady of the Pillar statue revered by the Spaniards through the centuries. It is believed by the Catholics that this is the first apparition of the Blessed Mother. She is perched atop an alabaster stone carrying the baby Jesus. Inside the Cathedral one can see in one of the altars two unexploded grenades. Several decades ago, some forces dropped these destructive weapons hoping to destroy the church, but with the intercession of Our Lady, the grenades never launched.
