There is an interesting youth hostel close to the train station which is located in train wagons. Try to get a reservation especially in the summer. There are kitchen facilities and a grill in the garden.You can rent a bike there for a ride across the city.
Pros: friendly service, clean
Cons: small rooms(wagons)

I found Lund to be a particularly beautiful and calm place. It's a university town and the uni itself kind of resembles a college campus in the United States. I didn't really know anyone here, so I just walked around a lot and observed pleasurably.
