there are two big ones(really big!!!) one is the "Transa" the second is "Veloplus". Veloplus ,as the name says, is originally a bike shop but there is more than just bike accessories. Transa has just moved to a new location and they are now next to the centre. if you need a new four season jacket, a storm- lighter or a new touring bike, I'm sure they have whatever you wish. oh and very important: there's a traveller restaurant which is quite a good place to meet new people. they also have a traveller service. the whole thing is now called "TRAVEL PLANET" when I was in Basel I loved to hang around there and dream of adventures.
