I recommend that people avoid this nightclub at all costs. While in Geneva for our cousin's wedding, my sister and I attended her bachelorette party at Le Baroque. The party was hosted by her "friend" who knew people at this club. Our host collected money and was to pay the bill. As my sister and I tried to leave the club we were prevented from leaving by two male staff members who claimed our party had not paid our bill. They would not allow us to call the party's host nor anyone else, but demanded that we pay the bill of 700CHF. These two males then physically pushed us (both females) down stairs in an effort to keep us there and out of view all the while claiming that being Americans we surely had to have enough money to pay the entire bill. We both suffered cuts and bruises from this incident. Fortunately, three male friends of ours happened by and paid the bill so that we were allowed to leave. Had they just allowed us to call the party host, the matter could have been solved quickly. Never, in any country or city have I encountered such extremely rude and violent behavior.
