Why you would love Bristol: "Europe's best kept secret?"

written: 19 July 2002
Bristol is the capital city of England's West Country. Built around an inland harbour on a series of hills there's loads of history and beautiful buildings. This is now one cool city, laid back and friendly with a happening vibe. This is where Massive Attack own a nightclub, the skateboarding capital of England. If you want to meet friendly, unstressed locals with an educated and fun outlook on life this is the place. A bit like a mini London without the hassle. Really useful site to check out is www.visitbristol.co.uk. Links to cheap Bristol Backpackers etc.

Pros: Loads to see and do, this is one cool city
Cons: not many!
Rating: just a tip
Details: Less than 2 hours west of London 00 44 (0)117 926 076 www.visitbristol.co.uk

Watershed / Arnofini / The Cube: "Cinéma cinéma"

written: 28 September 2000
Allez, bonne toile, I'll you there!

Pros: programmes variés et places peu chéres
Cons: siéges peu confortables dans certaines salles
Rating: just a tip
Details: The Cube: 4 King Square / The Watershed: 1 Canon's Rd, Harbourside / Arnolfini: 16 Narrow Quay
