"Kew Gardens for flower lovers"

If you're a lover of all sorts of garden beds and flowers, take an afternoon to go out to Kew Gardens and wander around the gorgeously manicured areas. The gift/souvenir shop is a bit steep in prices, but just enjoy being outside and amongst the flowers and plants :)
Pros: lovely for walking
Cons: entry price is around 4 pounds

"On a sunny day, head to the park, any park!"
written:
18 August 2000
St James and Hyde Park are my favourites - definitely do the London thing and go sit in a park on a sunny day and absorb some of that much needed vitamin d from the sun! The Parks are beautiful cos' London gets so much rain, and although they'll be packed on a sunny summer's day, you need to get back ot nature in a city like London, where things can seem pretty grey and indoorsy.
Pros: nature, they're outside!
Cons: gotta find that elusive sunny day
Rating: just a tip

""Mr. Cheapo's" London tours"
written:
11 August 2000
London is ridiculously expensive for tourists. You end up paying a fortune to get into various attractions and travelling to them. Many expensive tour buses operate around London, but by using the local red buses you can save yourself a lot of money and see everything more independently. If you have a decent guide book try taking the number 11 bus that goes all the way from Chelsea through to near St. Paul's Cathedral. It passes many of the major attractions (e.g. Trafalgar Square) and you can hop on and off. It's a cheap way to get around the major sites and you don't have to tip the driver! It's fun as well because you see some of the more unusual Londoners and the odd famous person.
Pros: Cheap; avoid looking like a sterotype tourist
Cons: No restrictions on who'll be next to you!
Rating: just a tip

"Church on Sundays is a must while in London..."
written:
15 July 2000
Have more fun on a Sunday than you ever thought possible, and at the same time reassure your loved ones back home that you are not slacking off on your moral crusade, simply by attending church! 'The Church', to be more precise. Take the tube to Kings Cross/St Pancras, and follow the long line of antipodeans (and many others) heading toward what ostensily is little more than a converted warehouse, but is in reality a fine house of pre-noon drinking, live comedians, strippers, and more liberal behavior than Jim Baker could ever condemn in a thousand crystal cathedrals.
The Church is a London institution, and better value cannot be found, given that the five pound entry fee gets you so much live entertainment (some of which inevitably ends up being provided by audience members).
A very surreal experience for a Sunday morning.
Pros: Cheap entertainment, good clean fun
Cons: You may be inclined to strip on stage

The V & A is a very nice and interesting museum of decorative arts.
You can find works of arts, craft and design from Europe, America, the Far East, the South Asia and the Middle East, from fifteen centuries to the present day.
I recommend you the Art Nouveau exhibition is very fascinating, you can see it until 30 of july.

"A one day tour of London..."
written:
03 July 2000
Start with a leisurely stroll across Tower Bridge, and then head straight into the Tower of London. At the Tower, be sure to attach yourself to one of the free tours given by the Yeoman Warders (Beefeaters). These tours are an excellent way to learn all the rich (and many times grizly) history of early London.
After the Tower, hop a bus down to St Paul's Cathedral, being sure to spend the extra few pounds and take the 530 steps to the top of the dome. The Whispering Gallery is an amazing experience, not to be missed (and a great place to rest with all those steps!).
Trundle a little further down to Trafalgar Square, and then head straight down Whitehall, passing Downing Street, Horseguards Parade, and on to Westminster. No -one should ever visit London without spending at least two hours inside Westminster Abbey, and the photo opportunity of Big Ben is not to be missed.
Finish the day with a relaxing stroll through the exquisite St James' Park, which fronts on to Buckingham Palace.
Pros: So much history at your fingertips
Cons: The number of choices can be a little daunting
Rating: just a tip
