Admiral Fell Inn: "Small elegant hotel"

written: 29 August 2001
Fells Point is the neighborhood where Edgar Allen Poe allegedly died in the gutter as an impoverished alcoholic. I believe he must have passed to his greater reward at the corner of Thames and Broadway, the site of the Admiral Fell Inn. This is a hotel with European charm and elegance that provides a personal touch. It is convenient to the center of nightclub / bar life in Baltimore, the only extant neighborhood porno theater (the Apex), and Johns Hopkins Hospital. The local Gun store was shut down after they found that 20 percent of the handguns used in crime in Baltimore were purchased there. If you want a true Baltimore experience, this is the place to go. Rates are reasonable but not cheap.

Pros: Quaint, colorful neighborhood.
Cons: Quaint, colorful neighborhood
Rating: 3/4
Details: Thames and Broadway, Fells Point
