Friends and I just spent a few days at The Not So Hostile Hostel in Charleston (GREAT PLACE) - the highlight of our trip was The Charleston Ghost & Dungeon Tour. You actually go into the dungeon - very, very cool and creepy. Took lots of photos and we're pretty sure there's some unexplained reflections. Anyhoo, it is a MUST DO if you ever go to Charleston, SC.

I stayed a week at this great hostel! It was the best one I've been in in the U.S. Unbelieveable freebies, the residents were locals (friendly and knowledgeable), funny name (not so hostile, geddit?, fun atmosphere. Very forward-thinking and eco-friendly. Almost unamerican but very southern. That'll make more sense once you get there! Highly recommend.

I just stayed at the hostel for a night and had the best time. It's a really new place so there aren't a lot of people yet, but I am sure that it will fill up. It's really bright and cheerful. The three people who live there are soo much fun and really helpful. It was real clean too. It is very comfortably there with many places to hang out, they even have a hammock! I had a wonderful time and will be sure to go back!

This cafe is popular with the professional lunch crowd for good reason. Desirable well prepared meals in an appealing environment, great value too.
