The Angelika is (or is one of) the top movie theaters in NYC for foreign and independent "art-house" films. Its spacious cafe is great for meeting people. The Angelika may well have more offerings than any of its many indie competitors....more

this movie theatre (or cinema, for you europeans!) mostly plays interesting independent movies, with several screenings of every movie throughout the day.
there is a subway track nearby, which results in the whole screening room kinda shaking ...more
