if you are not into the flashy, designer, ooh-look-aren't-we-cool "chic" of Soho, you should check out the bars and lounges of East Village and the Lower East side.
B3 is one of my favorites cos a) i live mere blocks away b)the atmosphere is way relaxed c) people are there just to enjoy themselves d)the music (djs or live bands) is usually cool. you can eat in the restaurant upstairs, or go down to the lounge and dance. packed in the weekend, less during the week. check it out!
Pros: kick-back
Cons: no high from passing velvet rope, if u r into that
Details: Ave B and 3 st., hence the name. duh!
