First of all, for those of you who don't like to read too much. Look no further, go to Babylon and there will be no regret! I am a computer instructor and specialized in teaching adult learners. The very first day at Babylon Idioma, I knew that I found the best school with the best teachers. As a learner, very often you may not see what the teachers are doing to help you learn and sometimes, you may be able to tell the difference between an excellent teacher and a good teacher. However from an instructor's point of view, I could see that the teachers were using all the teaching techniques to help the students learn in a super fun and an interactive learning environment. And here's the truth, everyone can go to school and learn to be a teacher...but it takes a lot of effort to be an excellent teacher. At Babylon the teachers take these extra steps to be excellent teachers. Here's an example, when a student asks a question in class, the teacher can just easily answer the question. However, the teacher usually asks another student to answer first so that the other student can speak and practice. Here's another example, normally students get very tired in the afternoon, the teacher usually throw in some activities that involve moving around. All these extra efforts really make learning fun and interactive and in return, you will learn sooooo much more that you can't even imagine. If you are going to compare other schools, please take my advice as an instructor. Don't look at what's being taught. Check out how it's being taught because no matter where you go or in which country you learn Spanish, the contents are always the same, grammar is grammar. When I first arrived in Barcelona, I spoke almost no Spanish. In only a few weeks, I could order food in restaurants. I could carry on a basic conversation with people. Not only I learned the language, I learned so much about the Spanish culture and met so many friends. We also shared so much about our countries and personal experiences. Before I left, I could even get a taxi to the airport, all in Spanish. The amazing thing was I understood every question the taxi driver asked. At Babylon, you are among friends! and of course parties are optional. Also the teachers rotate at Babylon. You don't always get the same teachers...so in the unlikely event that you don't learn from one, you will definitely learn from another.
