Babylon Idiomas Sevilla

Amor de Dios 50-52, 41002 Sevilla, Spain
4.73 / 5 based on 5 reviews.
Our school is located in the old centre in the neighbourhood Macarena (yes, from the famous song!) next to the beautiful square of Alameda de Hercules.
The five classrooms are all air conditioned and offer a very comfortable environment for your Spanish course. You will also find a central area with free internet access, a kitchen and a sunny outdoor patio.
The school also offers a DVD and book library to help you practice your Spanish.

Review of Seville Babylon Idiomas School.
By Janet; New York, NY; Homestay; one week, Nov. 2010

I have been to two Babylon Idiomas schools. One in Playa Dominical, Costa Rica, and the other in Seville, Spain. Both were delightful.

These schools are very well run and staffed with wonderful people. With regard to Seville, the school is in a good location with restaurants and pastry and coffee shops within easy walking distance.

I had classes in the morning and a private lesson in the afternoon. All of the teachers were very nice, patient and helpful. The students were from all over the world and of different ages. Everyone was very friendly.

I was alone and especially appreciated the efforts the school made to have evening activities which included lectures, flamenco dancing classes, a tour of Triana– across the Guadalquivir River that runs through Seville -- and a social night out in restaurant near the school.

I chose homestay and was placed with a charming, friendly woman in a cute apartment within easy walking distance of the school.

Not only were the classes fun and I learned a lot, but Seville is of great historic interest. In the afternoons, after classes, I walked around the city. The architecture is very interesting and there is much to see -- such as the Alcazar (a Moorish palace) with gardens. Nearby is the third largest church in the world with its Giralda tower – a former minaret and now a bell tower with stunning views. You can also take a boat ride on the Guadalquivir River and see many interesting sights and bridges.

Seville is renowned for flamenco dancing and one night I went with other students to a stunning performance. I now have a new appreciation for flamenco.

The cost of the homestay and classes is very reasonable. This is a great way to improve your Spanish!
Wonderful teachers, good location, interesting city

I really enjoyed our time studying Spanish at Babylon. I think the school is excellent and I learnt so much and feel much more confortable with my Spanish now.

All the teachers I had are so friendly and they always take the time to deal with your specific language needs. They made the effort to keep the lessons interesting and fun while making sure that language and grammar points are covered.

As well as being friendly and fun, the school is really professional and takes the teaching of languages very seriously. The director of studies is excellent and takes a real interest in the wellfare and education of the students at the school.

The social side of things is great too, there is a real emphasis both in and out of class on students getting to know each other, so if you are travelling alone there is no fear that you will be lonely if you come to school each. Both the formal and informal social time is really great. I am not really a 'joiner in-er', but the social side of things worked well for me, not forced but available if you want it.

I loved studying here and I am planning on coming back in September to do a couple more weeks of study after travelling round Spain this summer.
Excellent teachers
Emphasis on speaking proper Spanish, not 'Spanglish'
Teaching all in Spanish so that understanding improves
Social activities are casual and fun

I spent four weeks in the Babylon Idiomas School in Sevilla in the spring of 2012. The school is simply excellent. The place is very efficiently run but at the same time very friendly. Both of the teachers I had were really excellent - amiable, engaging and committed.

In short, I found Babylon Idiomas Sevilla to be first rate and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn some Spanish while enjoying one of the most beautiful cities imaginable.
Great location. Very efficient and friendly.

I enjoyed the lessons a lot, the teachers are very good and you can see that they love their work.
The structure of the lessons was clear and we also laughed a lot ;)
I would recommend Babylon Idiomas to everyone who is interested in learning Spanish on a high level , with fun. Furthermore, you can borrow dvds there and use the internet.
All in one I am sad, that I have not been able to spend more time there, I will come back on my next visit in Seville!

Hasta luego

In general it is a good school, it is hard to find initially.
The teachers are good and are easy to talk to.
I did the super intensive course, which meant that i was at school from 9 - 4.30. It would have been good to have had a break between finishing classes and doing the conversation and culture class.
