HOUSING
by Tambe Harry, University of Buea, Buea, Cameroon
Informatics, Free Mover
Personal assessment
Type of housing: off campus
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I would take care of my own hygiene. Some students in the common living dont clean the kitchen after use and dont empty the trash for days
Personal comments:
It was difficult at first because all the information was in Swedish. But when the housing company gave me the opportunity to log in in English it became much easier to locate a house on their website This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Yes, I wanted to improve my Swedish How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: At ease in most situations How much did you improve your Swedish?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Basic phrases Personal comments:
Studying abroad is the best way to improve quickly your language skills : you have no choice of speaking another language and you can appreciate speaking it in everyday life (and not only in courses, as we all do in our home universities). I really improved my English written and spoken language and I now feel at ease when i have to express myself in english. Concerning the swedish language, there are no difficulties as every swedish people speak perfect english. You can still learn some sentences, just for fun! Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That my work place is half an hour from the university and that most engineering courses were not offered during the night. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
There is a great student life there and many activities organized for international students. You just need to open up for new people. FINAL COMMENTS
