HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? It was an ok place and it was perfect to meet others, a very social place, the Kollegium! So if you come alone I would definately recomend it. Also very close to the main university!
Personal comments:
It is a rather new building with a big common area in the middle with common kitchen. There is a TV room, possibility to wash clothes with a special card you have to buy. You have a room in a freezer. There are lots of parties going on! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
One of the most popular places is defenitely Studenter Huset! Every Wednesday it is open for an International Night where all the international students are having their social get together. One of my favourite places in Aalborg is an Art House cinema called Biffen. Best cafe is defenitely KloserTorvet, the one that provides with best snacks for the cheapest price. Everbody in Denmark speaks perfect english and since danish is pretty hard to learn they would also answer your tries in english because they probably won´t understand your pronouniciation! With english absolutely no problem! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
by JUAN, Universidad Miguel Hernández, Elche, Spain

The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
In my opinion, Denmark is a little bit more expensive than Spain, but not so much. Also considering that Aalborg is not a big city, Copenhagen would have been more expensive for sure. Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food, Travel: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
No, but Aalborg is not so accesible by direct fligth from my city in Spain. It increased the cost of travelling. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal recommendation:
Keep doing the good job FINAL COMMENTS
be aware in Denmark there are a lot of very open, helpful and cearing people - if you have any problems just ask and you will receive help; everybody understands English; be aware it rains in Dnemark very often, but the weather is quite worm; you can find easely a cheap second hand bike - it will help you to save some money; This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
