Thai is a beautiful language, but kind of tough to learn. After 3 months basic conversational skills can be acquired if you make an effort.

Never go travelling through agencies on Kao San Road (backpackers paradise), just go to local bus/train stations and book your trip there. Sometimes half as expensive!!

Course recommendations
Academically very High standard. I followed MBA courses (was originally doing Msc, so kind of good quality). Host university is 3rd best in Asia.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Many more possibilities to live on campus. Finally, after much negotiating, I ended up in a nice 3 bedroom house with 2 fellow students

Personal comments
The initial accomodation we got was actually not good at all. A small bed, a small desk and a small cubboard is all we got. Moreover, a room without airconditioning. In Europe it sounds luxury, In Bangkok at the other hand a necessity!

Thailand is the country of Wats (temples), so for cultural sights a fantastic place. Too much to sum up here. As for nightlife in Bangkok: Q-bar, Ministry of Sound and some Salsa places: Again too much to sum up here! Just go and check it out!
