HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Close to town, to university, to library, to sportfacilities. The most students are living on campus- more fun!!! Living on campus was a fun!
Personal comments:
Campus is old build. So the accommondation is not new. There is Lake Side- more expencieve and modern building. Many students are living there and its hard to get a room. But I enjoyed living in towers, it was a great experience and a fantastic view! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
3 times a year Uni organise a pub crawl- it shouldn´t be missed! Arcadian is pretty cool and Bobby Browns on Broadstreet. Best days Thursday. Wednesday is Poundland at Uni! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Marketing courses are really interesting and very good at this Uni!!!!
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Library should have more books. During the exam period there are not enough books at the library and you should be quick to get one! In general, teachers are very nice and welcome. They support students as much as they can. Lectures are also very interesting. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
At the beginning its pretty hard to understand the lectures. But after 2 weeks you understand every word. I was living with britisch students, so I was talking with them a lot when I was at home. I think that just the first 2 weeks are hard to adapt afterwards there was no language barriers. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
It was not legal for me to work Personal spending habits:
When I was studying abroad I had a more active live than usual. I attend more sport-/dance courses, I was going out more often, I loved travelling in England etc. I´m sure its possible to spent less but for me it was an experience for my live and I didn´t wanted to miss an event! Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food: was the same price as at home.
Personal comments:
Sorry I wish I had some. There were many students who had a part time job next to uni. Books are very expencive. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
When you arrive in your accomondation. There is nothing in the room. You dont even have coathangers. So there is a Poundland, its directly at the train station. They have cheap stuff for household. Than you have no blanket- go to open market. You will get it there pretty cheap! In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I had great time! Everybody should go there! But dont choose Low Rise accommondation! Too old and dirty! FINAL COMMENTS
Its cheaper to travel by bus- National Express. Its at Digbeth Station. In January there is a trip from ACRA. You should definetly take a part. Exams period is quite stressful. Take lot of time for revision. And if you have questions or problems ask your teacher. Exams are very serious at Aston. Good Luck!
