Take advantage of studying abroad. This is the easest way how to meet new people, learn language and become more indenpendant that if you are staying in your home country.

"Style" of study was "independent" meaning they hand you a reading list, and don't reallly proviude much in the way of direction, expectations, or instruction. The true location of Brunel is not in London.

Personal recommendation:
I would give Brunel a low recommendation. If, like me, this is the only place for your course of study, there are ways to make it better, but avoid Brunel if you can.



FINAL COMMENTS

Due to inattentive/insensitive staff I had a less than positive experience here. It is most definitely not a cultural difference, I am here studying culture and have learned quite a lot about the UK educational system, and Brunel is not by any means the pearl of it.

My home university had to send a letter to the guest university to allow me in the workshops. I couldn't enter the workshops until the host university received it.

You can fully concentrate on your studies, no much distraction. All students are highly motivated!

Visit: Windsor, Camebridge, Oxford, Brighton, Bath, Bristol,... If you have more time: take a train to Edingburgh, you'll like. Stay with the Belgian beers (Stella).

It is a great opportunity to learn a very different work ethic, it's worth every penny.

Pack things that can be layered, stury , water proof shoes and be prepared to proof your not a stupid american to just about every Englishman you meet. Also most native will not truly begin friendships with Eramus until you drink together.
