I did more travelling and the usage for phone is crazy, you do not have a personal phone and there are no rate plans. Most people use mobiles which are fairly expensive or payphones.

Food, Overall: was the same price as at home.
Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
It is very difficult to open a bank account if you are not working and also if you do not have proof of personal residence.

Everything is more expensive than in the Czech Republic. British pound is more strong currency than czech crown

I had a problem with opening an account at HSBC, bank representant asked for extraordinary documents. Afterwards i decided to open an account at an other bank and it was no problem.

This country is EXPENSIVE! Also Brunel is not "in" London, it is a fifteen minute walk or bus ride to Uxbridge which is then an hour and a half tube ride to London which costs £6.50.
