Foreign students should definitely take the opportunity and travel as much as possible in their free time-to experience and see more of the other culture. No better culturual learning than that. Read Review

HOUSING

Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Student House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? More privacy, change...
Personal comments:
The housing company that deals with incoming international students is charging way too much rent. Moreover it is obligatory to take a contract through them. You can change your housing after your first contract is over. This may not apply for EU students.

COOS, the place to be in the center of Leeuwarden, my friends and I definitely were one of their best customers, most importantly, we made lots of DUTCH friends there. Really nice place!

FINAL COMMENTS

In total, it's good to live and study in Leeuwarden. Services are ok but sometime the language causes some problems. Old people here are very friendly much more than the young.
