Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students interact with the local community without much university involvement
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
rasta cafe... you have to ask all tuk-tuk drivers you see and maybe someone knows were it is - that's the way we've always done it. great place with great music, a fireside and very nice decoration... romantic! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

No, it wasn't. Was learning the local language a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my knowledge How much did you improve your English?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: At ease in most situations How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: Did not speak it Personal comments:
thais do speak a good deal of english - especially the students. nevertheless it is difficult for us to understand them because they have a completely different accent. appart from the students you hardly find anyone who speaks proper english, so use your arms and legs! A private grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
because of the week currency (thai baht) and the lower price level Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
the only expensive thing is when you want to eat "western" style... thai food is cheap, fast food is expensive. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
a little bit more about the culture. it would have been easier to understand everything. but i learned it there. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Pack you backpack and spend a lot of time travelling around. go to the golden triangle, to some national parks, to the temples. don't waste time and let the thai students show you their country. they are so nice and very proud of their culture. you will see so many things. FINAL COMMENTS
GO THERE, you'll love it. Thailand is great. And take your time to go to Bangkok and if possible to go to Vietnam and Cambodia as well. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
