by Karin, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Vienna, Austria

Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Because you get to know many people.
Personal comments:
I lived at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris - it's a "foyer" in the South of Paris - I loved itr a lot because I was the first one to move into my newly renovated room and got to know many friendly people. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Because the level of costs is much higher than at home - especially housing & most of the food are incredible expensive in Paris. You'll need at least 1300-1500 Euros to live there a nice and pleasant life! Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Personal comments:

OVERALL
by Karin, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Vienna, Austria

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That you have to wait to get to know people from Paris - they don't welcome you with open arms. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The level even rose - they changed it into a "Grande École" - be careful with courses in French if you aren't familiar with the language - they are even hard for the French students - for example "Finance" or "Comptabilité" - and don't expect good grades - the average grade is 12 which is a bit more than pass - 18-20 don't exist and only the best of class will receive 15/16! FINAL COMMENTS
Plan your stay carefully, take your time to get to know the people and the culture and try to explore France on yourself - its culture.....and don't expect to push your studies quickly - that won't be possible if ypu aren't a native or nearly native!
