Dublin City University (DCU)
DCU, 9 Dublin, Ireland
Description:
The University is located on a fifty acre campus in the northern suburbs of Dublin. Most of the University's programmes are provided in new, purpose-built buildings designed specifically for their needs, while the University's engineering programmes are currently housed largely in the older buildings on campus, some of which date back to the establishment of the Albert Agricultural College in the last century. The latter have been extensively refurbished and modernised. The campus with its adjoining parks constitutes a pleasant and productive environment for study and research.

Personal assessment
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? To be more independant
Personal comments:
It is very important that the university provides a list of apartements and family when foreign students arrived, WELL DONE DUBLIN !!! But the prices in Dublin are very high, that is a pity This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Try a lot of courses to choose yours - and be carefull to the accents of the lecturers, sometimes difficult to understand.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
I suggest more interaction with local students, because too much groups are formed with international students only. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Yes, I wanted to improve my English How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
It was quite hard at the beginning cause of the Irish accent (so strange for non native speakers),but at the end there were no problems to understand almost all. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Can't think of anything In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Things need more time. So take your time. FINAL COMMENTS
Ireland is a nice country. You can travel around easily by car, but mind the narrow roads. Dublin is a developing city. Unfortunately the traffic is horrible and the bus system too. They're currently building a tramnet. The school is nice too, but as mentioned things need their time. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
