HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because it is the best combination since I can get integrated into the culture of a country by living with locals. Moreover, I have the independence to live on my own.
Personal comments:
Unfortunately, my host university did not provide neither housing nor assistance with finding housing. I had to do it all on my own -- looking at apartments and choosing the best one. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Add a wider variety of courses. Ex.: management, sustainability. Offer more courses in Spanish to the exchange students.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
The levels of sifficulty among courses should be consistent. Because some courses, like Leadership and Motivation, required a very minimal amount of work while others like, Risk Management and Real Estate required a very heavy commitment. Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Local language was: Different than language of instruction.
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
At the university, it is hard to improve my Spanish proficiency because international students spend a lot of time together and thus speak English. I found that my language immersion experience occurred outside of school, i.e. my apartment and local friends. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Personal savings Government assistance Work opportunities:
I didn't want/need to work Personal spending habits:
Because Barcelona is a very expensive city. Moreover, I felt the need to experience the city, the Spanish way of life, and also travel to other countries. All of the above require quite a lot of money. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Everything as I expected it to be. Europe is definitely more expensive than the U.S. Best tip: make a budget before coming and stick to it! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I knew more about local accommodation and also I wish I had more information about the new campus in Sant Cugat. In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I would definitely recommend this university to other students! Academically, culturally, and socially it was a fantastic experience. Aside from some organizational issues (i.e. the new campus), everything turned out better than I had expected. FINAL COMMENTS
The most important thing is to come with an open mind and the readiness to learn and experience a new culture and a way of life. Don't travel too much and leave time to actually see Barcelona because it is an amazing city. Have fun, but don't get carried away with partying ;) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
