The UK campus of ESCP-EAP will move to London in a near future. It will change the atmosphere between students. Life will be more expensive but at the same time you will have greater opportunities for a highly-paid job. Read Review

HOUSING
Personal assessment
Cost
KEY:
Couldn't have asked for more.
Pretty good.
Could've been better, but didn't lessen the overall experience.
Disappointing.
Facilities
Location
Cleanliness
Space
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? The house is the best choice for Oxford because it enables you to live with your friends and also because it will save your money. Living in Oxford is very EXPENSIVE and it is very difficult to find a good rental agency.
Personal comments:
Anyway, do not hope that you will live in a big and comfortable house. The "poor" standards of living in Oxford are the same for all in Oxford even for the wealthiest people !

Activities, Nightlife: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Quality of courses
KEY:
Fantastic.
Pretty good.
Could've been a bit better.
Disappointing.
Variety of courses
Availability/access to resources
Interaction with teachers
Interaction with other international students
Interaction with local students
Course recommendations:
You will have many group projects with other nationalities. Be prepared to work in a real multicultural environment. Regard theory, I think the school is not beyond its peers.

My opinion of the university assessment
Exams at end of course
KEY:
Liked it.
It was alright.
A bit annoying.
Didn't like it.
Exams throughout the course
Essays and/or projects at the end of course.
Essays and/or projects throughout the course
Overall
Personal comments:
It would be good to be able to choose your courses.

Yes, I wanted to improve my English
How much did you improve your English?

My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Second-hand text books
KEY:
Very easy.
Minimal effort.
Accessible but required effort.
Almost impossible.
Second-hand household items
Computers / Internet
Administrative
Money from home
Main source of funding:
Family
Other sources of funding:
A private grant
Work opportunities:
I worked during my study abroad experience
Personal spending habits:
Living in Oxford is far more expensive than in France. It is as simple as that ! But you can earn a lot of money if you get a job in banking in London. I do not think Oxford is expensive if you consider your studies as an investment.
Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
You should look for an accommodation for 3-4-5 students to get a house not too expensive.

I wish I had known...
You have to be aware that it rains cats & dogs in England. Maybe 10 sunny days over the year...
In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled

Personal recommendation:
I think Oxford is the perfect place to meet people from many countries. The student life is very organised, you will be overloaded with student events...
