HOUSING
by Monica, University of Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom
Business Studies, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? More convenient to live in town than in the student accommodation which is out of town near the business school.
Personal comments:
Generally quite easy to find housing in Montpellier whatever your preferences are. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: French
Was learning French a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my French How much did you improve your French?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang) Personal comments:
I spoke French already, as I studied it for 5 years at the High School. I didn't have any problems in improuving it quite easly mostly because I got the chance to be part of a nice french group. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:

I didn't want/need to work Personal spending habits:
I spent more in rent because in Italy I don't have to face this expence. I spent more in nightlife because there were more parties organised. I spent more in travelling because, as I was living in France, I toke the opportunity to know better the country. Travel, Nightlife, Housing: was more expensive than at home. OVERALL
by nanuk, Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien, Vienna, Austria
Business Studies, Erasmus
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
where to stay! I went there and looked for an appartment without knowledge about the very tight market... In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
try not to stick with students from your country, even though it is not easy to be accepted by the locals as one of them. They will sure be your friends, but not too close. FINAL COMMENTS
Go to Andorra, Barcelona, take your car with you but dont leave things in it unattended if you have a foreign number plate. Watch your stuff. Dont order beer. dont look too close at the quality of most things in the area. enjoy yourself! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
