Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: A room exchange
Why? This is the best way to practice the French language, as the students who live in apartments always live together with other exchange students
Personal comments:
Usually the housing is organised by ESSCA. Students can choose the gender and the number of their roommates. All the apartments are situated in the city center and are therefore perfectly located.

I wish I had known...
1. ESSCA students are not older than 22 years. 2. In winter term (september to december)there are no courses of "Human Resource Management" offered
In my opinion:
Most people loved it.

During my experience abroad, I ...
Became familiar with another culture
KEY:
Happened all the time.
Happened quite a lot.
Happened a bit.
Didn't happen.
Traveled
Improved language skills
Met people from other countries
Became more independent
Partied a lot
Experienced a change in life
Advanced my studies/career
Personal recommendation:
ESSCA is a good, small and highly reputated business school, ideal for young students studying marketing, finance or Human Resource Management. There are two main associations which organize any kind of activities (sports, partys, etc..) which is perfect as you get to know lots of other ESSCA students.

FINAL COMMENTS

Angers is situated in the department of "Pays de la Loire" which is known for its beautiful landscape and castles. After visiting some castles, Nantes, the Atlantic coast (eg. La Baule)and the Bretagne are really worth a visit. As Paris is only 1 1/2 hours away (by TGV), the capital of France offers another possibility as well as the Normandie or the South of France. The easiest and best way to travel within France is to travel by TGV; people aged 12-25 can buy a TGV card, which is valid for one year and with which reductions on each journey are granted.
